However, all applications will be considered. This position is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician III, located in Jacksonville, FL. Our Manufacturing Technicians are on the front line of innovative technology. They are responsible for the safe operations of our fully automated production line performing all responsibilities vital to operate, adjust, and maintain equipment.
Investigate alternative methods and procedures to reduce variability and improve equipment reliability. Abide to manufacturing guidelines, policies, and operations run rules. Maintains compliance in safety, quality, and production. Complete all performance and development activities.
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Johnson and Johnson Standards of Leadership. You will be responsible for: Meets all requirements from level II Moderate level position qualified on designated generation line qualification and be able to troubleshoot and analyze root causes with statistical data.
Perform routine cleaning, clearing of equipment jams, insert of raw materials, equipment adjustments, mechanical repairs, and troubleshoot equipment failures. Coordinates and/or performs completion of line audits and best practice worksheets.
Provide technical, process and line management training to level III’s technicians and below and certify those who meet the training requirements. Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as scheduled. Recognize Carton, Foil, Primary Package, Sterilizer, Lens Visual Attribute, and Foreign Matter non-conformances, perform the root cause investigation and apply corrective actions to resolve non-conformance recurrence.
Record all equipment downtime, machine repairs, audits, and non-conformance events in maintenance management system. Understands and can communicate all processes and systems involved in the manufacturing process qualified in, updates manufacturing line boards, presents line board items, and provides management periodic updates on production line efficiency when Level IV manufacturing technician is not present.
Conducts manufacturing document reviews, updates document and reviews with supervisor. Be a catalyst in the design of experiments, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), protocols, validations, and all other projects supporting the business by coordinating or leading improvement.
Demonstrates proficiency in servo systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair in conjunction with at least 3 of the following areas by meeting qualification standards: Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, electro/mechanical devices, robotic systems, safety devices, equipment layout and installation, debug and qualification, control circuitry development, electro-mechanical solving/repair, equipment prototyping, production start-up, equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical part's design, tooling experience, Conveyor systems, Foil feed system, Heat Seal System, Pilz safety system, dosing system, Sterilizer, Oxygen and nitrogen systems, Hydration / Solvent Hydration Module, vision system, mechanical or process injection molding (IMM).
Demonstrates solid understanding in process improvements by meeting qualification standards in at least 1 of the following areas: Key Process Indicators, Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Gap Analysis, Prioritization Tools, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, etc.
Qualifications / Requirements: Education A High school diploma is required, associate degree or, equivalent highly preferred. Experience and Skills Required: A minimum of four (4) years of college, trade, or military training in a technical field or, equivalent industrial experience emphasizing electro-mechanical, PLC, and pneumatics highly preferred.
Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and handle multiple tasks. Proficient interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required. This position will require to complete Ramsay Mechanical Proficiency Test Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, and crawling.
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm, including weekends, on a regular basis required
Preferred
- At least six (6) years of college, trade, or military training in a technical field or, equivalent industrial experience.
- Solid understanding and solving skills in the following areas: Process Improvement, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, electro/mechanical devices, robotic/servo systems, safety devices, equipment installation, debug and qualification, control circuitry development, electro-mechanical solving/repair, equipment prototyping, production start-up, equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical part's design, tooling experience, electrical & mechanical prints.
- Good understanding of the term associated and purpose of Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficient with applying the principles in reducing process variations.
