- We're looking for a Software Development Engineer II to design and build the systems powering Amazon's next-generation Lists and Collaborative Shopping experiences. Our team is re-imagining how hundreds of millions of customers curate, discover
- connect through lists. We're applying generative AI to transform Wish Lists, shared lists, gifting
- collaborative shopping into intelligent, personalized experiences on top of Tier-1 systems serving billions of daily requests across every Amazon surface. You'll work on services that power these experiences and you'll do it during a pivotal moment as we integrate AI-native capabilities into our core framework. This is a role for someone who enjoys end-to-end ownership: diving into ambiguous customer problems, designing distributed systems that scale, writing production code
- measuring customer impact. You'll work across our full stack (back end services, APIs
- integrations with Amazon's shopping ecosystem) and partner closely with applied scientists, product managers

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems
- services using: C#, C++, Java
- Perl experience - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics
- a related field - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
