Job Title: Acquisition and Asset Manager Travel: * * * The Opportunity: CACI is looking for a strategic Acquisition and Asset Manager to lead enterprise-wide procurement operations and comprehensive asset lifecycle management for a large-scale government technology program.
This essential leadership position requires expertise in Federal acquisition processes, IT asset management, inventory control, and contract administration across a complex portfolio of hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance agreements supporting critical government operations.
We need a detail-oriented leader with extensive experience navigating Federal procurement regulations and implementing robust asset management frameworks. Your ability to optimize procurement strategies, maintain asset accountability, negotiate favorable contract terms, and ensure compliance with government property management requirements will be crucial to operational and financial success.

You'll lead procurement and asset management functions that directly impact program costs, compliance posture, and service delivery while implementing industry best practices and innovative solutions that enhance visibility and control
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all procurement processes, asset management operations, and inventory control functions Manage end-to-end acquisition lifecycle for IT hardware, software, licenses, maintenance contracts, and professional services supporting all program requirements Oversee asset lifecycle management from procurement through deployment, tracking, maintenance, refresh, and disposal in compliance with Federal property management regulations Conduct bi-annual physical inventory reviews and reconciliation activities, ensuring accurate asset accountability and government property compliance Maintain comprehensive and accurate inventory records in enterprise asset management systems, including configuration items, serial numbers, locations, custodians, and lifecycle status Facilitate renewals of maintenance and support contracts, warranty agreements, and software license subscriptions ensuring continuous coverage and cost optimization Resolve warranty disputes, coordinate RMA processes, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely resolution of hardware failures and defects Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, technology evolution, and vendor strategies affecting IT acquisitions and procurement decisions Develop and implement procurement strategies that balance cost efficiency, quality requirements, delivery timelines, and compliance obligations Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific procurement policies, and contract terms and conditions Coordinate with government Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and property administrators on procurement and asset matters Track and manage procurement requisitions from initiation through award, delivery, receipt, and invoice processing Oversee asset tagging, bar coding, and configuration management database (CMDB) updates for all IT assets Support audit response activities including physical inventories, documentation requests, and findings remediation for government property audits Identify cost-saving opportunities through procurement consolidation, volume discounts, contract negotiation, and total cost of ownership analysis Optimize service and support agreements by analyzing utilization, negotiating favorable terms, and eliminating redundant or underutilized contracts Develop and maintain vendor relationships with OEMs, distributors, resellers, and service providers ensuring competitive pricing and reliable delivery Qualifications
Required
- At least seven years of experience in enterprise IT planning, inventory and asset management, and procurement for Federal Government clients of similar size, scope, and complexity.
- Experience supporting life cycle asset management, audit response, and asset tracking for similar projects.
- Experience managing and leading acquisition and asset staff for projects of similar size and scope.

- Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
