Vellox Product Designer The Opportunity: Join Booz Allen as a Product Designer and help shape intuitive, polished experience s for a family of enterprise security and intelligence products. In this role, you will translate complex user needs, data-dense workflows, and technical requirements into production-ready interfaces that support security professionals and analysts working in high-stakes environments.
You’ll partner closely with product managers and engineers to move from concept to shipped outcomes, using strong design judgment, front-end code fluency, and a bias for practical delivery. Your work will support a product transition from traditional workflow-first interfaces toward AI-native and agentic interaction models, including conversational UX, assisted decisioning, and workflow automation.
You’ll also contribute to a shared design system across the product suite, helping define the component patterns, visual standards, and design decisions that serve as the foundation for scalable product delivery. What You’ll Work On: Design intuitive and elegant interfaces that balance visual craft, usability, and implementation feasibility across data-dense enterprise products.
Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and production-ready specifications that clearly communicate design intent. Design AI-native and agentic interaction patterns, including conversational interfaces, multi-step assisted flows, and AI-driven task orchestration.
Translate product requirements and user needs into clear, compelling design solutions that support clarity, speed, and precision for security and analyst users. Partner with product managers and engineers throughout discovery, design, implementation, launch, and post-release iteration.
Read and write front-end code as needed to accelerate prototyping, improve implementation quality, and strengthen design-engineering collaboration. Contribute to and govern a shared design system, including token architecture, component specifications, visual standards, and design decision records.
Create commer cia l-grade design assets that scale across products and hold up in production environments. Iterate rapidly based on stakeholder feedback, usage signals, and recurring design critique. Ensure consistency, accessibility, and quality across user touchpoints using WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 compliance as baseline standards.

You Have: 3+ years of experience in UX, UI, product design, or digital product design Experience shipping commer cia l product experience s in web-based, enterprise, or data-dense applications Experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, interactive prototypes, and implementation-ready specifications Experience using Figma, including components, auto layout, variables, and prototyping Experience reading and writing front-end code to support prototyping, design implementation, or collaboration in engineering workflows Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers from discovery through launch and post-release iteration Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA or Section 508 Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and incorporate constructive feedback into iterative design work HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: Experience designing agentic UX patterns, LLM-powered features, conversational interfaces, or AI-native product interactions Experience contributing to design systems, component libraries, token architecture, or reusable design standards at scale Experience with design tokens in JSON and mapping design decisions to front-end implementation Experience designing security, intelligence, or government-adjacent enterprise sof tware products Experience designing data visualization, graph-based interfaces, or complex analyst workflows Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and design feasibility tradeoffs Ability to operate at startup pace with high ownership, fast iteration, and pragmatic decision-making under ambiguity Ability to show a portfolio demonstrating visual craft, interaction design, and delivered product outcomes Compensation At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
