Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Serve as a Pega Workflow Systems Engineer responsible for the architecture, design, integration, optimization, and governance of enterprise workflow solutions.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to engineer scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that support critical business processes. Provide technical leadership across system architecture, integration strategy, performance optimization, security controls, and operational stability while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and technology roadmaps ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.

Lead the architecture, design, and engineering of enterprise workflow solutions utilizing Pega Platform and related technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and technology strategy.
Analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and resilient solution architectures that support critical business operations. Define and oversee system integration architectures between Pega applications and Distributed, Mainframe, Cloud, and External Systems utilizing APIs, messaging platforms, file transfer technologies, and enterprise integration frameworks.
Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture reviews, design validation, implementation oversight, and production readiness assessments. Engineer and optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency through proactive architecture reviews, performance analysis, capacity planning, and system tuning.
Establish and maintain engineering standards, design governance processes, architecture principles, and technology best practices to ensure consistency and quality across solutions. Design, implement, and oversee security controls, monitoring capabilities, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with enterprise security standards.
Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards, Pega guardrails, security requirements, performance expectations, and maintainability objectives. Provide advanced technical analysis and solve highly complex system, integration, and operational challenges impacting enterprise applications and services.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, infrastructure teams, and support organizations to evaluate solution alternatives and recommend optimal technical approaches. Lead complex technology initiatives and serve as a technical mentor for engineering teams, providing guidance on architecture, systems design, performance optimization, and integration strategies.
Define and oversee observability, monitoring, and operational support frameworks to ensure application stability, availability, and recoverability in production environments. Support release governance and production implementation activities across all phases of the Technology Delivery Lifecycle, ensuring technical readiness and successful deployment outcomes.
Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation, system design specifications, integration designs, operational procedures, and knowledge artifacts to support engineering and operational excellence. In an Agile environment, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements, perform engineering analysis, evaluate system impacts, and deliver sustainable technology solutions that maximize business value.
Required Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training. 2.
In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices. Preferred Qualifications Deep expertise in Pega Platform solution architecture, workflow systems engineering, and enterprise technology design.
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required; Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) strongly preferred. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale workflow and case management solutions. Advanced knowledge of enterprise integration architecture, including REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven architectures, and messaging frameworks.
Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available systems in regulated financial services environments. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices. Working knowledge of distributed platforms, cloud-native architectures, .NET, Java, and Mainframe ecosystems.
Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies. Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud deployment architectures. Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives, including migrations from on-premises environments to Pega Cloud.
Demonstrated ability to lead architecture reviews, technical governance processes, and enterprise engineering initiatives.
