  • The AU Ops Excellence BI/Analytics team is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. This role sits within the broader AU Ops Excellence organisation
  • drives operational performance across Amazon Australia’s All Miles network — spanning First Mile (fulfilment centres), Middle Mile (transportation and sort)
  • Last Mile (delivery stations). The successful candidate will build models, tools

Rooted in lean and continuous improvement principles, the team works closely with site operations and partners across Planning, Deviations, Quality, Learning, Last Mile Delivery Experience, Routing
  • BI/Analytics. The BI/Analytics team provides data-driven insights and analytical support across Operations Excellence: translating operational data into actionable intelligence that enables smarter planning, faster deviation detection
  • evidence-based decision-making. The team is distributed across multiple Australian cities and dedicates its capacity to high-impact project delivery, with dedicated time for learning and upskilling.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent - 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or an equivalent role experience - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) - Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages - Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Experience contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment - Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms - Master's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science
