- Enterprise Solution Test Architect Description - Job Description: Job Summary This role is responsible for owning solutions quality of HP‑branded OEM and ISV‑branded solutions that HP sells and resells, ensuring they meet defined quality standards and customer expectations. The role collaborates closely with project managers, solution leads, internal and external development teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders across multiple geographies to define testing requirements and priorities. The role oversees the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Additionally, the role provides regular reporting on quality assurance metrics, test coverage, and defect trends to stakeholders and leadership to support informed decision‑making. Responsibilities Lead multiple project and solution teams, including software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners, accountable for end‑to‑end quality assurance across complex products and platforms. This includes test strategy, analysis, coding, results evaluation, and corrective action recommendations. Own deals and escalation (elevation) requests related to software solutions, ensuring quality, feasibility, and risk considerations are addressed. Drive investigation, tracking, and resolution of ISV‑related defects in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Provide oversight and support for inquiries and escalations received through the Solution Support channel, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Maintain and continuously improve the Solutions Compatibility Dashboard, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and usability. Publish timely updates and enhancements to solution dashboards, communicating status, insights, and improvements to users and stakeholders. Manage and strengthen relationships with internal and external development and QA partners involved in software and firmware design and development. Review and evaluate solution designs, architectures, and project activities for compliance with quality standards and assurance guidelines
- provide actionable feedback to reduce risk and improve overall product quality. Actively participate in release and deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production environments and validating release quality criteria. Provide leadership and insights into test planning, execution, and risk assessment during regular team and stakeholder meetings, promoting transparency and proactive issue management. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing domain‑specific knowledge and quality leadership to cross‑organizational projects, programs, and strategic initiatives. Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new technologies, frameworks, and practices within the software quality assurance and solution delivery ecosystem. Mentor and coach junior QA team members, fostering skill development and promoting best practices across the team. Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 6-9 years of work experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field. Preferred Certifications
