Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: The Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager position serves as the enterprise Virtualization Product Owner with end-to-end accountability for VMware and Nutanix infrastructure platforms across the organization.

This role provides strategic and operational leadership for highly available, scalable, and secure virtual infrastructure services supporting critical enterprise and financial workloads. The position leads a high-performing team of onshore and offshore infrastructure engineers responsible for platform engineering, operational support, automation, lifecycle management, and large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives.

The Senior Manager drives delivery excellence through agile methodologies, disciplined project execution, and continuous service improvement while promoting automation and infrastructure as code as strategic enablers. This leader is responsible for virtualization platform strategy, inclusive of capacity management, KPI reporting, operational resiliency, security compliance, and modernization initiatives, including enterprise migrations from VMware to Nutanix AHV.

The role partners closely with architecture, cybersecurity, application teams, operations, risk management, audit, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure infrastructure platforms remain resilient, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise technology objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the enterprise Product Owner for VMware and Nutanix virtualization environments with accountability for platform stability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence. Lead and manage teams of onshore and offshore virtualization engineers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Drive successful delivery of infrastructure programs and projects using agile and iterative delivery methodologies with strong focus on execution, risk management, and operational readiness. Develop and maintain strategic platform roadmaps focused on automation, self-service capabilities, infrastructure as code, and operational modernization.

Oversee all virtualization infrastructure builds within enterprise data centers, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, resiliency requirements, and operational best practices. Lead enterprise transformation initiatives, including large-scale migration programs from VMware to Nutanix AHV platforms.

Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and managed service partners to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and migration schedules are achieved. Provide executive-level reporting and communications regarding program health, risks, dependencies, financials, and delivery status.

Manage platform lifecycle activities including hardware refreshes, software upgrades, patching strategies, and retirement of legacy infrastructure. Direct capacity planning, utilization analysis, and budget forecasting activities to ensure efficient resource allocation and long-term scalability.

Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting related to availability, utilization , performance, incident trends, and service health. Champion automation initiatives leveraging scripting, orchestration, and event-driven remediation to improve operational efficiency, resiliency, and service delivery.

Ensure virtualization platforms comply with enterprise security standards, hardening requirements, and regulatory obligations. Lead vulnerability remediation efforts across the virtualization ecosystem and partner closely with cybersecurity teams to mitigate operational risk.

Support audit, risk, and compliance activities by ensuring controls are properly designed , documented, and executed. Manage incident escalation processes and lead resolution of complex infrastructure issues impacting critical business services.

Oversee data center expansion and migration initiatives, including infrastructure deployment and workload migrations between hosting facilities. Establish strong vendor relationships and oversee engagements with VARs, strategic partners, and technology providers.

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance operational maturity, service reliability, and customer experience. Mentor and develop engineering talent through coaching, career development planning, and performance management.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 8+ years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure engineering or virtualization platforms within large, complex environments. 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical engineering teams, including distributed or offshore resources.

Deep expertise with VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi , and enterprise virtualization operations. Strong experience with Nutanix platforms, including Nutanix AHV and Prism administration. Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure transformation and migration programs.

Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, compute , storage, networking, and disaster recovery concepts. Experience implementing automation and infrastructure as code solutions using scripting and orchestration technologies. Demonstrated experience with agile delivery methodologies and infrastructure project management practices.

Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks. Experience developing operational metrics, KPI dashboards, and executive reporting. Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, vendor relationships, and technology lifecycle planning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively across technical and executive audiences. Experience operating within highly regulated enterprise environments, preferably in financial services.

Preferred Requirements Master’s degree in Information Technology , Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline. Industry certifications such as VMware VCP/VCAP, Nutanix NCP, ITIL, PMP, SAFe , or equivalent. Experience leading enterprise-scale migrations from VMware to Nutanix AHV.

Knowledge of cloud integration strategies and hybrid infrastructure architectures. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure provisioning. Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or similar automation technologies.

Experience supporting enterprise audit, regulatory, and risk management processes in the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of event-driven operations, observability platforms, and proactive incident remediation approaches.

Experience building and operating infrastructure services across multiple enterprise data centers. Demonstrated success influencing senior leadership and driving strategic technology initiatives across large organizations.
