Paralegal Position Spotlight: Provide litigation, compliance, and legal operations support for the Cochlear Americas Legal team. If you are a detail-oriented legal professional with experience supporting legal operations, contracts, and compliance activities, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Legal team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices. In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO.

This role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 3 days per week minimum, with 2 days per week working from home. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide timely and accurate legal support, maintain critical corporate and compliance records, efficiently manage contracts and reporting processes, and identify opportunities to improve Legal and Compliance operations through process enhancements and technology solutions.

Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Commercial Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Global Legal teams to support legal and compliance initiatives, contract management, litigation activities, and corporate governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research and provide litigation support, including fact gathering, summarization, and drafting initial responses for attorney review. Perform administrative duties required by the legal and compliance function and respond to routine information and data requests from the business.

Provide first draft and review of routing commercial contracts (including, but not limited to, confidentiality agreements, consultancy arrangements and letter agreements) for approval and execution by the Contracts team. Manage contract lifecycle management processes, corporate records, company registrations, and regulatory filings.

Develop legal reports and metrics, support compliance training administration, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives. Embrace emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and proactively identify opportunities to improve Legal and Compliance workflows, automate routine tasks, and enhance business support.

Key Requirements To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview: Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Political Science, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience, including a Paralegal Certificate, will be considered. 3-5 years of experience working within a legal operations, contracts, compliance, or corporate governance environment.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based business applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Experience with contract lifecycle management systems (such as DocuSign CLM), legal technology platforms, AI tools, or healthcare/life sciences organizations is preferred. Pay Range in the United States: $30.00/hr - $37.00/hr based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
