Amazon ECS is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to deliver our container orchestration service and accelerate adoption of containers in the cloud. This role includes responsibility for ECS and Fargate, our Serverless container compute offering. We are seeking an SDE with strong knowledge of distributed systems. You must enjoy working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment and be passionate not only about building good software but also ensuring that the same software achieves its goals in operational reality. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems

- Perl experience - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics
