Job Title: Computer Network Architects Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Computer Network Architect in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development.
Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. By joining this team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the U.S. and our allies’ ability to develop and apply models and simulations throughout the lifecycle of military and commercial technologies and systems.
Your work will help ensure Warfighter readiness and the realization of future capabilities
Responsibilities
- Network Design and Architecture:
- Design and implement network architectures that meet the organization's needs.
- Create detailed network diagrams and documentation. Requirement Analysis:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for network infrastructure.
- Conduct network assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Technology Selection and Implementation:
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, protocols, and standards.
- Implement and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Network Security:
- Design and implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents using security solutions. Performance Optimization:
- Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks or issues.
- Implement solutions to optimize network performance and ensure reliable connectivity. Collaboration and Support:
- Work with IT staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure network solutions align with business goals.
- Provide guidance and support to other IT professionals on network-related issues. Documentation and Maintenance:
- Keep detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
- Update network diagrams and documentation as the network evolves. Scalability Planning:
- Design networks that can scale to accommodate future growth and changing business needs.
- Implement strategies for network expansion and modernization. Testing and Validation:
- Perform testing and validation of network configurations and changes.
- Ensure that network solutions meet performance, security, and reliability standards. Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in network architecture.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge in network design and implementation
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field 3+ years of experience or 8+ years relevant of experience in lieu of degree.

- Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
