Role Overview The EMEA Content Excellence & Operations Manager is responsible for building and embedding content excellence across the region. The role owns the content strategy, operating model, governance, and performance framework required to ensure content is planned, developed, localised, approved, deployed, and optimised effectively across the end-to-end customer journey.
Working across both Out-of-Pocket and Reimbursed business priorities, the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, partnering with markets, agencies, and cross-functional teams to improve content quality, speed to market, effectiveness, and scalability across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities 1. Content Strategy & Planning Define and evolve the EMEA content strategy to support Out-of-Pocket and Reimbursed business priorities. Develop audience-centric content frameworks and customer journeys across key touchpoints.
Lead regional content planning in partnership with brand, media, CRM, eCommerce, and market teams. Establish localisation frameworks that balance regional consistency with local market relevance. Create strategic content guidance, toolkits, and playbooks to support execution across EMEA. 2.
Content Excellence & Operations Own the EMEA content operating model and content supply chain. Ensure content is effectively planned, developed, localised, approved, deployed, and optimised across all relevant customer touchpoints. Drive improvements in content speed, quality, consistency, compliance, and scalability.
Manage agency and production partners to deliver high-quality content and best-in-class execution. Define governance frameworks, workflows, and standards that enable efficient content delivery across markets. Act as the regional lead for content toolkits, templates, and content excellence frameworks. 3.
Content Performance & Optimisation Establish content scorecards, KPIs, and measurement frameworks. Drive creative effectiveness, testing, optimisation, and continuous improvement. Lead SEO, content discoverability, and AI visibility initiatives.
Optimise content performance across digital, eCommerce, retail media, CRM, and social channels. Leverage audience insights, social listening, and market intelligence to improve relevance and engagement. Translate performance data into actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes. 4.
Innovation & Capability Building Drive adoption of AI, automation, and modern content practices across EMEA. Identify opportunities to improve content creation, localisation, governance, and optimisation through technology. Develop best-practice frameworks, training programmes, and playbooks.
Build capability across markets and agency partners to drive consistent content excellence. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with global, regional and market stakeholders across Marketing, Media, CRM, Retail & eCommerce, Insights, Digital, and IT functions, as well as external agency partners, to develop and deliver integrated, insight-led content strategies that drive business growth, optimise customer engagement, enable effective localisation, and ensure consistent execution across EMEA.
Key Performance Indicators Deliver a high-performing regional content operating model. Improve speed, quality, and consistency of content across EMEA. Increase content effectiveness across Out-of-Pocket and Reimbursed customer journeys. Improve content discoverability, SEO performance, and AI visibility.
Drive adoption of AI, automation, and modern content practices. Increase market adoption of regional content frameworks and toolkits. Strengthen agency capability and content excellence across the region. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience in content marketing, digital strategy, or related fields within healthcare, nutrition, or FMCG sectors.
Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies across multiple digital and retail channels. Strong understanding of SEO, CRM, and performance marketing principles. Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments across diverse markets.
Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Familiarity with content management systems, analytics platforms, and AI-driven content tools. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field or relevant experience Advanced degree or certification in digital marketing or content strategy is a plus.
