Title: Security Lead KBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support.

The Security Lead plays a key role in ensuring the program operates in secure and compliant environments across multiple classification levels. This position partners with program leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to manage security processes, documentation, and training that support day-to-day mission execution.
Roles and Responsibilities Oversee execution of program security activities in accordance with Government security requirements and applicable security directives Develop and implement program level security classification guides and policies Manage security documentation, compliance activities, and required reporting supporting program operations Coordinate implementation of security procedures to ensure proper safeguarding and handling of classified information and controlled unclassified information Support establishment and maintenance of security environments across required classification levels to enable program execution Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and operational security (OPSEC) requirements Coordinate and track completion of required security training and awareness activities for program personnel Interface with Government security offices, stakeholders, and program leadership on security requirements and compliance status Identify and support mitigation of security risks impacting program execution Support implementation of processes to control access, distribution, and handling of program information and materials Basic Qualifications U.S. citizenship required Active Top Secret clearance required Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, OR Associate’s degree with additional relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting security programs within Department of Defense or government environments Familiarity with information security, OPSEC, or classified program requirements Experience managing security documentation, compliance activities, or training coordination Experience interfacing with government security offices or supporting multi-stakeholder environments Experience supporting programs operating across multiple classification levels Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $100,000-$140,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
