About The Role As an Account Executive in Embedded Finance & Platforms, you will be responsible for winning new business across Airwallex’s embedded finance and platform product suite. You will work with platforms, marketplaces, SaaS businesses, fintechs, and other high potential verticals that want to embed financial services into their customer experience.

This role is best suited to someone who combines strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of payments, APIs, and platform led business models. You should be comfortable operating across medium and large opportunities, navigating multiple stakeholders, and turning complex product capabilities into clear business value.

What You’ll Do Proactively identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities across ANZ, with a focus on platforms, marketplaces, SaaS providers, fintechs, and other businesses looking to embed payments and financial products into their ecosystem.

Own and drive the full sales cycle from strategic prospecting through to close across mid-market and large market opportunities. Lead consultative, solution based sales engagements by understanding customer business models, product strategy, and integration requirements, then mapping Airwallex’s embedded finance capabilities to those needs.

Partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, Legal, Finance, and Strategy to progress complex opportunities and execute commercial agreements. Build, manage, and maintain a high quality pipeline while contributing to the ongoing evolution of sales plays, messaging, and best practices for the Embedded Finance & Platforms business.

Develop strong multi threaded relationships across technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders within target accounts. Act as a trusted advisor by simplifying complex product and infrastructure concepts into clear, compelling business value.

Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and platform use cases to help shape GTM execution in Australia. What You’ll Bring Proven success in B2B financial services sales, with a strong track record of exceeding quota and driving new business growth.

Experience selling complex solutions in payments, fintech, SaaS, infrastructure, or API-led environments. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with experience navigating longer and more complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical teams, operators, founders, and senior executives. The ability to understand and articulate platform business models, embedded finance use cases, and the value of API based financial infrastructure.

A proactive, self directed mindset with strong ownership and accountability for results. A collaborative approach and the ability to work cross functionally to deliver strong customer outcomes. Strong judgment and attention to detail when managing opportunities, crafting proposals, and progressing deals through to close.

High learning agility and curiosity, with the ability to quickly build credibility in a fast moving market and product environment. This role is within our Embedded Finance team.
