Important: This role is part of the ENCORE program and is open only to retired Cigna Group employees. Responsibilities Design and Develop enterprise web applications using Java technology, REST API, Micro Services on Open shift, DotNet, ASP.Net technology.Work closely with cross-functional teams of data, front-end and back-end engineers, analysts, dev-ops and technical product owners.

Provide technical leadership in system design, code review, coaching team and delivering high quality code. Work in an agile development environment and collaborate with multiple teams while experimenting with new technologies. Work with cloud and infrastructure teams for setting up and maintenance of environments. Coordinate the testing efforts with automation in mind.

Collaborate with Onsite development team for planning and execution of deliverables. Act as a technical leader across multiple initiatives, guiding engineers and fostering continuous improvement in software engineering practices Support all phases of the lifecycle including design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production stabilization Represent solutions and project progress to stakeholders, including business partners and senior leadership Promote innovation and critical thinking to deliver simple, efficient solutions to complex challenges Required Qualifications Proficiency in Java, RAD(Rational Application Developer), Springboot/Frameworks and other Java JDK(versions).

MS DotNet(VB, C#, Aspx); Strong knowledge of database systems, such as DB2, Oracle, for data storage and retrieval. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong experience in developing MVC, RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Experience working in an Agile development environment. Knowledge of DotNet, Java, React and Node js, AWS is plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong experience with Java and React in full stack developer role.

Robust understanding of single page application architecture. Good experience in building Rest APIs using Java/ Springboot, DotNot. Hands on experience with building user interface with Typescript, Javascript, HTML, Aspx, Javascript. Strong knowledge of database systems, such as DB2,Oracle, and non-SQL for data storage and retrieval.

Robust understanding of software development principles and best practices. Experience with hosting single page applications on AWS. Experience of Github, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline. 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong foundation in modern development practices Ability to manage competing priorities and drive focus in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Proven experience leading technical teams with a passion for the developing the talent within the team.

Experience with onshore/offshore model. Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions. College degree (Bachelor or above) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Industry certifications such as AWS. Coaching of team members If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
