The team drives measurement, deep-dive analysis, and insights generation for fulfilment inventory and planning, cancellations, returns, refunds, and other order lifecycle outcomes across Lowes.com and omnichannel fulfilment nodes. Partnering closely with Fulfilment Operations, Inventory Planning, Transportation, Reverse Logistics, Customer Care, Digital Product, Technology, and Finance teams, Fulfilment Analytics ensures shared KPIs, consistent metric definitions, and actionable insights that improve customer experience while optimizing cost-to-serve.
Job Summary: Sr. Analyst, Inventory Planning Analytics is responsible for delivering insights and performance analytics that optimize inventory availability, allocation, and replenishment across the fulfillment network . The Senior Analyst leverages data to monitor inventory health, identify risks and opportunities, evaluate planning effectiveness, and measure the impact of inventory strategies on customer experience and fulfillment outcomes.
The role supports decision-making through analytical deep dives, forecasting insights, performance reporting, and root-cause analyses related to inventory availability, demand variability, allocation, and replenishment execution. As a key member of the Post Purchase & Fulfillment Analytics team, this individual helps bridge inventory planning decisions with fulfillment performance, ensuring the organization can proactively identify inventory risks, improve order success rates, and optimize working capital investments.
This role partners closely with Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Fulfillment Operations, and Technology teams to improve in-stock performance, reduce fulfillment-related cancellations, and ensure inventory is positioned effectively to meet customer demand.
Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Inventory Availability & Planning Analytics Monitor and analyze inventory performance across fulfillment nodes, channels, categories, and products to identify risks impacting customer experience and order fulfillment.
Develop insights into inventory availability, stock positioning, allocation effectiveness, and replenishment health. Track key inventory planning metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve inventory productivity and fulfillment outcomes.
Predictive Analytics Develop analytical frameworks and predictive models that identify inventory risks and opportunities. Support early-warning monitoring for stockouts, demand spikes, replenishment risks, and fulfillment constraints. Contribute to initiatives that improve inventory efficiency, customer experience, and operational performance.
Demand & Forecast Analytics Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, forecast accuracy, and demand variability across product categories and fulfillment locations . Identify gaps between forecasted and actual demand and quantify business impact.
Support forecasting improvement initiatives through data-driven analyses and performance measurement. Allocation & Fulfillment Inventory Optimization Evaluate inventory allocation strategies and their impact on availability, order fulfillment, cancellations, and service levels.
Analyze node-level inventory positioning to identify opportunities for improved fulfillment efficiency and inventory utilization. Support optimization efforts related to inventory placement, replenishment timing, and network availability. Root Cause Analysis Investigate drivers of inventory-related cancellations, stockouts, fulfillment delays, and service failures.
Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes related to planning assumptions, replenishment execution, supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and demand shifts. Quantify operational and customer experience impacts of inventory issues.
Performance Measurement & Reporting Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions that provide visibility into inventory planning and fulfillment performance. Establish consistent measurement methodologies and KPI definitions across inventory planning analytics.
Deliver recurring performance reviews and business insights to stakeholders. Data & Analytics Enablement Partner with Data Engineering teams to improve inventory-related datasets, reporting infrastructure, and analytical capabilities. Validate data quality and ensure consistency across inventory planning and fulfillment reporting.
Document metrics, methodologies, and analytical standards. Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Fulfillment Operations, and Product teams to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations. Support strategic inventory planning initiatives through scenario analysis and impact assessments.
