Ground System Engineer The Opportunity: When a user tries new sof tware, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful sof tware development, and that means rigorous testing.

That’s why we need you, a knowledgeable test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test sof tware and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best sof tware possible. As a test engineer on our team, you’ll work with testers, sof tware developers, hardware engineers, and system engineers to evaluate sof tware developed for the United States Space Force.

You’ll work on creating a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline and driving automated and manual processes, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the sof tware performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of space ground system mission data processing and command and control. This is an opportunity to leverage your skills by writing the code to test. You’ll also further your experience in cloud development, cloud computing for large scale systems, and explore new areas like UI / UX Model Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE ) , system fielding, and operational acceptance.

You Have: Experience operating remote Electronic Warfare systems Experience with System Integration and Test Planning for Space Force Weapon Systems Knowledge of system engineering concepts and the process to field operational systems Ability to clearly articulate system requirements that operators request to sof tware development teams and develop test plans to prove those requirements are met Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: Experience with weapon system instruction Experience with IT system development and operations Knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum curriculum, including spectrum analysis, demodulation, and RF flow diagrams Knowledge of the sof tware development lifecycle and DevSecOps TS/SCI clearance Master's degree Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
