Tool and Fixture Specialist
Tool and Fixture Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B) to support our 737 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position will support the 737 assembly team, which set-ups positive feed, power feed, and orbital drill motors as well as presetting cutting tools, for major aircraft joins.
Position Responsibilities: Performs routine tool set up activities. Makes minor repairs. Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools. Operates various factory support equipment to move materials, product, and tools as required. Provides tooling support to other organizations.
Assists in determining fabrication and assembly processes for the design. Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for parts. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Experience in tool set-up and maintenance. Experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc. Must be able to obtain and maintain Respirator certification .
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 6 months or more of experience setting-up and maintaining powerfeed drills. 6 months or more of experience in setting-up cutters for both manual and automation operations. 6 months or more of experience in operating overhead cranes and/or mobile cranes.
