Logistics Coordinator
  • Location: Onsite, Boulder Colorado About the Role The Inventory and Logistics Lead will oversee and support operational activities related to the inbound and outbound transport of biological specimens, collection kits, and production inventory. This role is responsible for tracking shipments from pickup through delivery, managing warehouse receiving, and ensuring strict inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate operates with high autonomy, manages assignments without immediate supervision, and is evaluated based on departmental performance and service levels. This role coordinates domestic and international shipping systems, optimizes transportation costs through data analysis and carrier auditing, and serves as the primary logistics point of contact for internal stakeholders. What You Will Do Carrier Coordination: Coordinate, monitor, and troubleshoot domestic and international pickup and delivery requests with FedEx, DHL, and local couriers for customers and internal sales teams. Cost Optimization: Analyze company and customer needs to ensure lowest-cost transportation

Specimen Tracking: Efficiently track inbound biological samples and outbound kits, utilizing proactive troubleshooting and intervention to ensure on-time delivery. Receiving & Storage: Oversee the receiving, processing, labeling, documenting, and storing of all incoming stock and production inventory. Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular stock counts, maintain clear inventory records, and inspect incoming stock for damages (maintaining detailed damage logs). Space Management: Organize and maintain the physical warehouse space for optimal efficiency

System Implementation: Assist with the rollout and implementation of new inventory management software and recommend system enhancements. Performance Management: Assist the Department Manager with annual performance evaluations, employee feedback, and the development of individual goals and performance metrics. Training & SOPs: Develop and maintain training materials, tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient workflows. Onboarding: Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for new team members regarding quality, new technologies, and application tools. Cross-Functional Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics issues

Data & Analytics: Maintain departmental metrics and assist with data management and analytical reporting requirements. Process Improvement: Utilize data to identify process bottlenecks, recommend operational solutions, and execute problem-resolution strategies. Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory bodies and local requirements through meticulous documentation and record-keeping. What You Will Bring Requires a high school degree. Proficient in Microsoft Office products 4 to 6 years of work experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Leadership skills preferably proven with firsthand experience in leading a team and/or delivering projects. High level of work organization and time management skills. In office job with no remote features. Knowledge of FedEx, DHL, and UPS network and shipping services International logistics experience preferred Ability to develop a strong understanding of our products and services to effectively handle inbound and outbound calls Knowledge of inventory and warehouse best practices. Proficient verbal and written communication skills Team oriented with commitment to the success or the team and organizational goals Ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Organized individual with great attention to detail and focus on quality Limited travel up to 10% PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Must possess the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to handle and transport hazardous waste material. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard and communicate over the telephone and read printed materials. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times. Limited travel up to 10%. This role will have occasional access to PHI both in paper and electronic form and have occasional access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. Employees must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements. Employees must be willing to work in flexible shifts as per the business need. Compensation & Total Rewards This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
