Mid-Level Manufacturing Planner Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Manufacturing Planner to become part of the Executive Transportation Production Engineering team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities Include: Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies for aircraft parts, assemblies and installations. Investigate and resolve technical problems related to manufacturing processes Develop manufacturing work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies and installations.
Implement procedures for rework and repair. Develop and implementation of production and tooling methodologies Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions Implement manufacturing plans Resolve technical problems and assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies Resolve technical issues that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders to align product development and manufacturing goals Perform producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capabilities meet requirements Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret and a Yankee White Clearance Post-Start, Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience with quality, engineering or supply chain within a production or manufacturing environment 3+ years of experience with materials and processes 3+ years of experience managing projects 5+ years of experience working in design engineering, industrial engineering, quality, supply chain or manufacturing role Experience in Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data Manager (PDM), GOLDesp and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) Ability to interact with the customer and senior leadership to provide technical demonstrations and presentations Ability to operate in a stressful working environment and multi-task Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience in support of commercial and military customers.
Experience in project management Experience with MESci, GOLDesp, CAPP, REDARS Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines Understanding parts turn-ins, process codes, and procurement processes Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
