The Manager, Finance Business partner is responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our business partners, reporting, planning including budget & forecast
- ad-hoc analysis. Key to prospering in this role are the abilities to interpret data, devise strategic plans, assume leadership
- cultivate connections with colleagues across the global Mastercard network. Duties include managing all facets of the financial tasks such as facilitating the monthly close, preparing annual budgets and routine forecasts, conducting financial analyses, identifying financial variances, as well as highlighting potential opportunities and risks. - This role will be assigned to specific division(s) and is intended to provide rotational opportunities that broaden the team’s overall experience. Timing and rotation decisions will be based on individual career aspirations, business needs
- leadership priorities to strengthen the team’s skills and capabilities.
- Provide divisional financial reporting, identify financial risks & opportunities, and provide recommendations to leadership to achieve financial targets for assigned division(s) within Technology
- Coordinate and lead the annual budget process, including assessing risks, cost pressures, contractual increases, and business- or volume-driven impacts.
- Manage financial close and forecast, including analysis of key performance metrics and P&L variances against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals, and initiatives for month and quarter end processes
- as well as management of parameter input e.g. Hyperion load
- Assist with strategy and process improvements including the use of AI, related to budgeting, forecasting, systems and other key areas to ensure alignment with market objectives
- proactively identify ways to improve processes and execute agreed upon improvements
- Embody leading beyond finance by developing, running and maintaining financial/business models to analyze performance and business opportunities (e.g. Dashboard, KPIs, financial & business metrics)
- Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business, including addressing ad hoc financial queries or analysis, and assist to formulate and drive mitigation plans
- Maintain and develop performance and expense tracking reports to drive insight and accountability with the business (Technology leaders)
- Negotiate, alongside business and sourcing, renewals or new contractual spend for 3rd party services or technology solutions All About You:
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment
- Experience building presentations with executive messaging is preferred
- Ability to challenge ideas and balance opportunities and threats
- Must be comfortable working with ambiguous processes in a fluid environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact, communicate, influence and navigate effectively with executive management
- Ability to perform successfully in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently
- Background in IT financial management and accounting considered beneficial
- Strong relationship management and networking skills
- Must be highly proficient using MS suite of products Excel/Office/PowerPoint and enterprise ERP/Planning systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial analysis role
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or professional certification (CMA, CPA) a plus

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
