As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Technical Lead to develop and support engineering workflow solutions built on the Atlassian platform. You will chip in to JIRA workflow automation, dashboard development, data analytics, and engineering process improvements that enable efficient execution across semiconductor development teams.
This role provides an opportunity to gain experience working with multi-functional engineering organizations while building software solutions that improve engineering productivity and execution visibility
Responsibilities
- JIRA Configuration & Automation Support the implementation of JIRA workflows, issue types, screens, automation rules, and project configurations.
- Assist in maintaining engineering processes, defect tracking, and workflow standardization under the guidance of the Technical Lead.
- Software Development Develop scripts, utilities, and automation using Python and SQL to extract, validate, and process engineering data from Atlassian databases and REST APIs.
- Chip in to custom integrations with engineering tools and reporting systems.
- Dashboard & UI Development Develop and maintain web-based dashboards and user interfaces that visualize project health, engineering metrics, defect trends, and execution status.
- Work with modern web technologies to enhance usability and user experience.
- Data Analytics Assist in building reporting pipelines, generating engineering metrics, validating data quality, and creating dashboards that provide actionable insights for engineering and program teams.
- Collaboration Work with Design, Verification, Implementation, Validation, Power, Performance, Software
- Program Management teams to understand workflow requirements, support issue resolution
- continuously improve engineering processes.
- Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 2years + experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Basic understanding of databases, REST APIs, and software development practices.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to JIRA and Confluence is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn enterprise workflow automation and engineering process development. “Nice To Have” Skills and Experience : In Return: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of the semiconductor or SoC development lifecycle.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL, Git, Flask/FastAPI, or similar technologies.
