- Job Purpose Ensure compliance with health, safety
- environmental regulations, implement HSE policies and procedures
- promote a culture of safety within the hydraulic manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Policy Development and Implementation Develop and implementation of HSE policies, procedures
- programs specific to hydraulic manufacturing operations. Conduct regular reviews of policies to ensure compliance with local, national
- international regulations. Risk Assessment and Management Identify potential hazards associated with hydraulic manufacturing processes (e.g., high-pressure systems, hydraulic fluids, heavy machinery). Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate controls to mitigate risks. Compliance and Audits Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA
- other relevant regulations. Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections of machinery, processes
- workplace conditions. Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate records of HSE incidents, training, audits
- inspections. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required. Training and Awareness Provide HSE training to employees, including safe handling of hydraulic equipment, chemical safety
- emergency response. Promote a culture of safety through regular communication and awareness campaigns. Incident Investigation Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses
- environmental incidents. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Emergency Preparedness Develop and maintain emergency response plans for scenarios such as chemical spills, fires
- machinery malfunctions. Conduct regular drills to ensure readiness. Coordinate with waste management contractor Environmental Management Monitor and handle waste disposal, emissions
- spill prevention in line with environmental regulations. Promote sustainable practices in the facility. Equipment Safety Ensure that all hydraulic equipment and machinery are maintained and operated safely. Oversee the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce its proper use. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve HSE performance. Implement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental stewardship. Work Environment Exposure to a manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, hydraulic systems
- potentially hazardous substances. May require occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods
- wearing PPE. This position combines hands-on technical analysis and administrative tasks Time will be spent among office, production floor
- lab areas. A large majority of time may be spent working on the production floor Work closely with managers, supervisors, office staff and plant personnel
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related industry, preferred or 8 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the degree Minimum 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental role in manufacturing or a similar industrial setting. Previous experience with people management skills preferred. Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning. Certifications such as OSHA, or ISO14001 & 45001, 9001 are highly desirable. Working knowledge of manufacturing and industrial environment safety risks. Understanding of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to solve problems proactively and manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

- Salary and Benefits: The salary range is between $80k- $88k. The range is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
