Startups represent a critically important subset of customers to AWS. These companies have unique needs, technical considerations, sales cycles
- growth trajectories that distinguish them from traditional companies. These businesses require different engagement strategies and sales motions from sellers to effectively acquire, grow
- retain them on the AWS platform long-term. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales acumen, will be passionate about startups and the Canadian startup ecosystem, understand cloud industry trends
- be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit (a builder!) who is prepared to work in a fast-paced, hunting environment, execute against ambitious goals

Key job responsibilities - Drive market share while exceeding both revenue and non-revenue goals. - Accelerate customer adoption by engaging Founders, CxO, Board of Directors and VC influencers. - Assist startup business and technical leaders to accelerate the adoption of AWS services at scale. - Partner with internal cross-functional teams across Solutions Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, Partners
- others. - Identify ways for AWS to add value to your startups and help them grow beyond just providing great infrastructure services and support. - Work with Partners to extend reach and drive adoption. - Develop long-term strategic relationships within your accounts. - 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience - Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs)
