JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Asset Reliability & Equipment Lifecycle Management Develop, implement, and continuously improve asset reliability strategies to maximize equipment availability, performance, and lifecycle value. Own and maintain preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and condition-based maintenance programs.
Lead asset lifecycle planning, including equipment obsolescence management, modernization initiatives, and capital replacement planning. Establish reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies and best practices for critical production assets.
Asset Performance & Continuous Improvement Monitor and analyze equipment reliability metrics, including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance costs. Identify and prioritize chronic equipment issues ("bad actors") through data analysis and performance trending.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Facilitate reliability improvement projects focused on increasing equipment uptime, reducing downtime, and improving process capability.
Manufacturing Support & Capital Projects Lead or support small to medium-sized capital and process improvement projects from concept through implementation. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation. Design for Reliability: collaborating with engineering teams on new designs and specifications to ensure equipment is reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective.
Support installation, commissioning, and validation activities for new equipment and facility upgrades. Data Analysis & Reliability Engineering Analyze reliability and maintenance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop business cases and recommendations for reliability investments and capital improvements.
Utilize asset management, reliability software, and analytical tools to support data-driven decision making. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and operational teams. Professional Development & Leadership Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing teams and stakeholders Support workforce training initiatives related to manufacturing processes, reliability, and best practices.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve reliability and operational performance objectives. Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Program Ownership Provide oversight to plant-wide predictive maintenance technologies including: Vibration Analysis Infrared Thermography Ultrasonic Inspection and Leak Detection Oil and Lubrication Analysis Motor Circuit Analysis Condition Monitoring Systems Maintenance Program Management Provide technical ownership and oversight of specialized maintenance and equipment rebuild programs, including: Equipment Rebuild Programs Safety Relief Valve Inspection and Certification Programs Vessel Inspection Programs Electrical Distribution System Testing & Maintenance (Switchgear, MCCs, Transformers) Rotating Equipment Reliability Programs Technical support and training: provide expertise to maintenance teams on troubleshooting and best practices for equipment care QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree (in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Reliability Engineering) and demonstrated competence required 3–5+ years in reliability, maintenance, or quality engineering roles Experience in manufacturing, med device, pharma, or similar regulated industries Software proficiency in ReliaSoft, Weibull++, Minitab, Maximo Asset Management, Excel, Python, and/or R Analytical and Technical Skills: Root Cause Analysis (5 Why’s, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis) Statistical Analysis (Reliability modeling, life data analysis, MTBF/MTTR calculations) Predictive Maintenance Techniques (vibration analysis & balancing, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, motor circuit analysis) Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills: critical-thinking skills Ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software Ability or aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding or skills and is willing to learn PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CRE, CMRP, and/or Six Sigma certifications Apply Now In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
