About the Role (Job Summary) The Night Facilities Manager leads facilities operations for the Jeffersonville Distribution Center during the night shift, ensuring a safe, reliable, compliant, and well-maintained environment for overnight distribution operations.
This role manages facilities team members, oversees building systems and maintenance programs, coordinates vendor support, and partners with day-shift leadership to support operational continuity, reduce downtime, and maintain facility readiness.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) Lead, coach, schedule, and support night-shift facilities team members, including performance management, training, and daily work prioritization. Oversee facility maintenance, repair, and upkeep for critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, security, fire/life safety, and general building infrastructure.
Develop, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance programs using work order processes and maintenance management tools to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Respond to facility-related emergencies, equipment issues, and operational disruptions during night hours; troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, environmental standards, safety procedures, and applicable building codes. Manage vendor and contractor activity for specialized repairs, inspections, services, and projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Monitor facilities budgets, supplies, repair costs, and resource utilization to support cost-effective building operations. Maintain accurate records for maintenance activity, inspections, incident response, vendor work, and compliance documentation.
Partner with day-shift facilities and operations leaders to ensure clear handoffs, shift-to-shift communication, and continuity of facility support. Support site security protocols and building access procedures to help protect employees, visitors, equipment, and company assets overnight.
Basic Requirements Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience Hands-on working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, fire/life safety, and security systems.
Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), work order system, or building management/building automation system. Experience supporting safety, regulatory, environmental, or building-code compliance in an operations or facilities environment.
Ability to work a consistent night-shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Preferred Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and 5+ years of relevant facilities, building operations, maintenance, or engineering experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of people leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in facilities, maintenance, building operations, distribution, manufacturing, or a similar environment Experience managing preventive maintenance schedules, vendor service agreements, facility inspections, and emergency response procedures.
Knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental health and safety practices, fire/life safety requirements, and local building codes. Experience managing budgets, maintenance supplies, repair spending, and vendor performance. Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead independently during off-shift hours.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), OSHA 30, or related technical/trade certifications. Description of Travel or In-Office and Physical Requirements This role is 100% onsite at the Jeffersonville Distribution Center and supports night-shift operations.
The schedule is expected to include Sunday through Thursday nights, with flexibility required based on business needs, emergencies, weekends, holidays, or critical facility projects. Travel is not expected for day-to-day responsibilities but may occur occasionally for development, training, or support at other sites.
Physical requirements may include walking the facility floor, standing for extended periods, climbing stairs or ladders, accessing equipment areas, responding to urgent facility issues, and occasionally lifting or moving maintenance-related materials in accordance with site safety practices.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
