You’ll design and lead purposefully crafted customer and clinical studies that reveal how Medtronic’s AiBLE solutions perform in the hands of real surgical teams across patient journeys in Cranial, Spine, and ENT surgery. You’ll listen deeply, observe fearlessly, and translate insights into actionable design evidence which illuminate how our technologies feel, perform, and transform surgical practice in real-world environments – not just in specification.

Through your leadership, collaboration, and influence you will apply real-world use centered principles to understand and confirm that solutions truly elevate experience, drive meaningful efficiency, improve patient efficacy, and integrate across our AiBLE ecosystem.

Perform analysis of test results to identify use errors, close calls, operational difficulties, and product defects. Ensure identified product issues are dispositioned and tracked. Document a product version’s end-to-end usability strategy and evaluation outcomes.

Apply cognitive and behavioral science to the design of solutions under development and perform heuristic or other usability analyses during design reviews to ensure the product is appropriately designed for actual use. Perform usability failure modes and effects analysis to identify critical tasks, mitigations, and test methodology to demonstrate effectiveness.

Develop UI / UX specifications, provide design improvement recommendations, and perform defect analysis to improve use experience or further mitigate risk. Effectively communicate and present findings, challenges, solutions, and recommendations within the team, organization, stakeholder leaders, and outside the organization.

Serve as a subject matter expert in design validation, the operation of our products by users in their use environments, design for usability and use experience, the clinical procedures we design products for, and in usability and validation standards regulators expect our products to meet.
