Job Summary Alaska Overview The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NGLs. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas.
Additionally, we are one of Alaska’s largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2025. Alaska operations contributed 12 percent of our consolidated liquids production and one percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
In 2025, net crude oil production for Alaska averaged 199 MBOED. Position Overview The Alaska Digital Technologies (AKDT) organization is seeking a Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives across the Alaska Business Unit.
This role is critical in bridging business needs with digital delivery by enabling effective intake, requirements definition, value tracking, and stakeholder alignment across a diverse portfolio of initiatives. This position works with business stakeholders, product teams, project managers, and technical delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned to business priorities and delivered with clarity, transparency, and measurable value.
The role combines business analysis, process optimization, stakeholder engagement, and governance enablement to drive successful outcomes. This position is based in Anchorage, AK. Your responsibilities may include: Business Engagement & Enablement: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and AKDT delivery teams to understand, shape, and mature incoming demand Facilitate structured intake processes in alignment with Digital Strategy Board governance and prioritization frameworks Partner with business leaders to define clear problem statements, success criteria, and value cases for proposed initiatives Support organizational change management (OCM) efforts to ensure adoption and business readiness Drive alignment between cross-functional teams including Operations, Wells, GGRE, Supply Chain, and other business capabilities Requirements & Solution Definition: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories Translate business needs into actionable deliverables that can be executed by technical and delivery teams Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and data teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively Support validation of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with business expectations and defined success criteria Maintain traceability from business need through delivery and value realization Process Optimization & Value Tracking: Map and analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and digital enablement Define future-state business processes and support implementation of improved processes Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business value metrics for initiatives Support benefit realization tracking and reporting across projects and products Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints impacting delivery and business outcomes Governance, Planning & Communication Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and roadmap alignment activities Prepare and present materials for leadership updates, including status, risks, and value delivery Coordinate with project managers and product teams to ensure alignment across delivery milestones and business readiness Ensure documentation, decisions, and outcomes are clearly captured and communicated Promote consistent ways of working across AKDT for intake, requirements, and delivery governance Success Profile: Leads Change: Drives thoughtful and pragmatic change by encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement Communicates Effectively: Invites dialogue to gain a shared understanding and influences with confidence to drive performance and achieve business results Thinks Strategically: Analyzes stakeholder needs, global, political, and market trends to understand how they shape the future and impact our business results Basic/Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent 1 or more years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related role 1 or more years of experience supporting IT, digital, or data-driven initiatives 1 or more years of experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable deliverables Preferred: Experience working within an Agile or SAFE Agile delivery environment Experience supporting digital transformation, data modernization, or enterprise application initiatives Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog and workflow management tools Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) Understanding of financial processes such as business case development, value tracking, and funding alignment Experience working across cross-functional teams within a complex organizational environment Apply By: Jul 6, 2026 Sponsorship: ConocoPhillips’ sponsorship for employment authorization in the U.S. is NOT available for this position.
