ROLE PROFILE: We are seeking to hire an ambitious, innovative, and AI-savvy engineering lead to help us to build the future of Digital Rights as part of the LSEG-Microsoft Partnership Data Platform ROLE SUMMARY: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will help to design and build solutions in the complex and challenging domain of Digital Rights Management.

You will lead a squad of engineers, maintaining focus on secure, quality code whilst providing guidance and mentorship. You will use AI tools and automation to maximise efficiency and repeatability across the Software Development Lifecycle.

You will participate in strategy and design discussions with key stakeholders from across the programme. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and lead by example, developing solutions in Public Cloud. You’ll be a strong, confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior leaders from across the organisation WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Providing technical leadership to software engineers in your squad Inspiring and mentoring more-junior engineers Work with enterprise architects to design optimized solutions which meet product requirements Using and advocating AI tools to maximise developer efficiency whilst ensuring appropriate guard rails are defined and implemented Coding secure, efficient, and effective solutions Delivering solutions using Microsoft Azure capabilities Adopting DevOps principles to code, build and implement solutions Providing support to Reliability Engineering teams releasing the software that your team have built Ensuring that solutions conform to LSEG test strategy standards Working with Product Owners to understand requirements Working with the squad to provide accurate estimations for delivery Providing commitments to deliver features and successfully meeting them Providing clear and concise communications to the squad and stakeholders helping to attract and recruit talent to a growing team WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 8+ years of Software Engineering experience using languages including C# .NET Relational and NoSQL databases Python React, Angular or similar 3+ years experience of leading successful engineering squads Demonstrable experience of building applications in Public Cloud – ideally Microsoft Azure A good understanding of ‘well-architected’ principles An empathetic, supportive leader able to inspire your team Motivation, self-starting and a ‘can do’ attitude Strong written and spoken communication skills with an ability to present An enthusiasm to learn new technology and approaches – and share them with others Dedication to continuous professional development An understanding of the financial information domain is desirable A desire to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN: Competitive compensation and benefits package Investment in your continued professional development Opportunity to work on innovative, industry-leading technologies The chance to shape the future of Digital Rights Management in the Financial Information industry We take a hybrid approach to workplace, this role will be 3 days in the office to take advantage of our excellent collaboration spaces.
