- The Learning Design & Development (LDD) team within Global Operations Learning & Development (GOLD) seeks an Learning Architect to serve as the dedicated strategic design partner for Amazon's Rest of World (RoW) Learning & Development function. This role is a strategic bridge between the central LDD organization and RoW regional teams, ensuring that RoW learning programs benefit from GOLD's evolving design standards, modern frameworks

- future-forward strategic partnership to the RoW program team. You will ensure RoW stays connected to where the L&D function is going, not just where it is today. Key job responsibilities Strategic Alignment & Integration: - Drive closer integration between RoW and the central LDD team, ensuring RoW programs stay connected to GOLD standards, design processes

- strategic design recommendations - Evaluate the design quality and strategic alignment of RoW programs, recommending improvements grounded in evidence and best practice - Support program evaluation methodology and measurement of learning effectiveness for RoW-specific initiatives Future-Forward L&D Partnership: - Help RoW stay ahead of where the L&D function is going rather than executing primarily tactical work - Identify emerging learning design approaches, AI-enabled workflows
- modern content strategies relevant to RoW's needs - Translate LDD innovation (AI content workflows, modular content architecture, quality automation) into actionable recommendations for RoW adoption - Provide thought leadership on how RoW's critical talent pipeline programs should evolve Coordination & Resource Direction: - Coordinate ringfenced development contractors who support RoW content builds - Translate design consultation into clear development briefs and quality expectations for contractor resources - Establish and maintain a working rhythm with the RoW program team for intake, design review
- delivery coordination A day in the life A Day in the LifeA typical week in this role might include: - Monday: Review the RoW program pipeline with the Product Manager team to identify upcoming design needs. Assess an intake request for a new regional leadership program and determine whether a GOLD-standard offering can be adapted or whether custom design is required. - Tuesday: Join a design consultation session with a RoW program manager who is evolving the Tier 3 Development pathway. Provide learning architecture recommendations, reference relevant GOLD frameworks
- draft a design brief for contractor development resources. - Wednesday: Participate in the central LDD governance meeting to stay connected to GOLD-wide design standards and share insights on RoW-specific challenges. Identify a new AI-enabled content workflow being piloted centrally that could accelerate RoW content localization. - Thursday: Conduct a design quality review of an existing RoW program, evaluating alignment with updated GOLD standards. Prepare a recommendation brief with specific improvement opportunities and a prioritized action plan. - Friday: Synthesize the week's portfolio activity into a status update for the LDD Design Manager. Draft a proposal for how an upcoming GOLD offering could be customized for the LATAM and APAC regions, outlining what stays standard and what requires regional adaptation. - 3+ years of project management experience - 2+ years of stakeholder management experience - 2+ years of learning and development or employee compliance training experience - 3+ years of classroom facilitation experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience formulating and implementing training and performance improvement strategies - Experience analyzing data to make business decisions
- Experience with modular content architecture, content management systems
