- As CMO for HelloFresh US, you will own the commercial growth engine for the most recognised meal-kit brand in North America. This is a marketing role with a commercial mandate: you are accountable for brand and demand
- for the subscriber, revenue
- contribution-margin outcomes that marketing drives.
- Beyond the HelloFresh brand, you will help shape the US meal-kit portfolio. Partnering directly with the Managing Director, you will drive brand portfolio strategy across HelloFresh, EveryPlate
- Green Chef, maintaining clear differentiation between three brands at distinct price points. The Heads of Marketing for EveryPlate and Green Chef will partner with you on a dotted-line basis, looking to you for functional leadership and craft
What You’ll Do
- The Recipe
- Own full-funnel marketing : Drive marketing strategy and execution for HelloFresh US — acquisition, retention, lifecycle, brand
- creative — and be accountable for subscriber growth, revenue, CAC/LTV
- contribution-margin targets.
- Run the D2C subscription growth model end to end: Paid, owned, and earned media; offline (TV/CTV, audio, OOH); CRM and lifecycle; and pricing and promotion strategy in partnership with the commercial and finance teams.
- Lead product marketing : Connect product truth with customer need and drive go-to-market excellence at scale — defining brand territories, reasons-to-believe
- testing them in close collaboration with the growth team, whilst leading product-led growth.
- Act as a commercial operator : Partner with the GMs and Finance on the levers marketing moves in the P&L, and bring marketing decisions into the language of unit economics and payback.
- Identify breakthrough partnerships. Imagine new partnerships: from talent to high-profile influencers — to elevate awareness, credibility, and reach, with the ultimate goal of driving consideration and sign-ups.
- Help drive brand portfolio strategy: Partner with the Managing Director across HelloFresh, EveryPlate
- Green Chef — setting portfolio brand architecture and positioning, protecting clear differentiation between brands
- maximizing total share and revenue across the portfolio.
- Provide functional marketing leadership across the portfolio: Lead the EveryPlate and Green Chef Heads of Marketing on a dotted-line basis — raising the bar on craft, talent
- ensuring consistency and shared learning.
- Be a core member of the HelloFresh US leadership team.
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing marketing organization: Raise the bar on talent, craft, and ways of working.
- Navigate the global/local matrix: Partner with Global HQ, central functions, and local teams to get decisions made and integrated growth initiatives landed.
- What you’ll bring: The Ingredients
- 15+ years of marketing leadership, including CMO/VP-level scope, with meaningful experience in direct-to-consumer and/or subscription businesses.
- A commercial operator's mindset — comfortable owning or co-owning a P&L and fluent in contribution margin, CAC/LTV, payback, and unit economics, not just brand and awareness metrics.
- A customer-centric mentality — you instinctively put the customer at the center, using insight and behavior as the launchpad for bold, effective marketing strategies that unlock growth.
- Proven scale — led marketing for businesses operating at significant revenue and media spend in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
- A track record of building high-performing teams — including through dotted-line and matrixed relationships; a T-shaped leader who pairs deep marketing expertise with broad business understanding.
- Ideally, experience in global, matrixed organizations — you operate effectively across central and local stakeholders, ideally, with a track record of leading or influencing across a brand portfolio, with the judgment to balance the interests of an individual brand against the health of the whole.
- Ideally, a background in FMCG or CPG industries
