Solutions Architect
- We’re looking for a Solutions Architect to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering real-world AI/ML systems into operational environments. This role sits at the intersection of technology, customer need
- business value, bridging the gap between advanced machine learning capabilities and the practical challenges faced by our customers. As a key technical lead in customer-facing engagements, you will explain the capabilities of Mind Foundry’s products, build trusted relationships with stakeholders
- work collaboratively to identify high-impact opportunities where our technology can deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Working closely with our Technical and Mission Systems teams, you will help shape new opportunities by identifying where existing technologies can be applied and where new capabilities are needed. You will contribute to internal business cases, customer proposals, bids
- technical marketing content, clearly articulating how Mind Foundry’s products address complex operational challenges.
- From an internal perspective, you will act as the voice of our customer, ensuring customer priorities and operational realities are reflected in product road mapping and delivery planning. You will work closely with our product, engineering and science teams to help shape solutions that are technically robust, commercially valuable
- aligned to customer needs.

- Because of the nature of this work:
- You will be required to travel to and work from client sites and partner locations. When not working onsite, this role can be office-based or hybrid from our Summertown, Oxford office.
- You will need to hold existing or be eligible for UK Security Checked Vetting (SC), details of which can be found on the Gov UK website .
- Key day-to-day activities
- Act as the technical AI/ML lead in customer engagements, clearly communicating Mind Foundry’s technology and its application to real-world complex operational challenges
- Work directly with customers to identify and understand their pain points and priorities, collaboratively scoping opportunities with them face to face
- Define technical solutions that align customer needs with Mind Foundry's products, capabilities, and roadmap
- Partner with Product, Technical Services
- Mission Systems teams to develop compelling technical solutions that support new business, renewals
- customer success. Contribute to bids, proposals, business cases
- technical marketing material, articulating the value of our technology to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work closely with the Mission Systems team to prioritise opportunities that have technical and commercial value to us and the customer
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer problem domains and operational challenges from a scientific and product point of view, allowing identification of innovative ways to deliver value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical stakeholders across customer and partner organisations
- Collaborate with internal product, delivery and strategy teams to ensure our internal work and investment will deliver value to customers
- Explore and prototype new approaches that showcase the potential of Mind Foundry's technology and inspire customers, partners, and colleagues.
- Core skills & experience
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrable understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application to real-world problems.
- Experience using Python
- Strong presentation, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and solution designs, working in an agile and collaborative way with customers.
- Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical, operational, and commercial considerations.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technical and scientific concepts, and to rapidly understand customer domain, context and challenges
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and assimilating contributions from a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills

- AI and SaaS knowledge, understanding or experience
- Enterprise sales experience
- Experience working in technology for Defence and/or National Security.
- Experience working in the UK Defence Land Domain.
- Data Science experience

- Interview Process:
- Initial discussion with the People team
- TestDome coding exercise
- 30 minute interview with the Head of Science & Engineering
- 60 minute interview, including a 10 minute presentation
- In person meet the team at our Summertown, Oxford office
