Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Real Time Engineering We are hiring Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to expand our team supporting LSEG’s Real Time application space. This space provides thousands of clients with access to trading and market data globally.
Our team mitigates operational risk, enables fast product innovation, and continuously improves customer experience. As an SRE, you will take ownership of operational support, contribute to cloud migration initiatives, and help automate operational tasks.
You will build and evolve observability capabilities, apply data-driven and AI-assisted insights, and develop strong domain expertise . You will work as part of a diverse, globally distributed team in a fast-paced environment that processes real-time data.
Key Responsibilities Lead incident recovery efforts by analyzing complex situations, forming hypotheses, and coordinating effective recovery actions. Apply structured problem-solving and critical thinking to identify root causes across distributed systems.
Produce clear, high-quality incident reports and participate in post-incident reviews to drive reliability improvements. Maintain production stability by assessing deployment risks and using operational data to identify reliability concerns.
Automate operational processes and use AI-assisted tools to enhance observability, alerting, and troubleshooting. Develop strong understanding of application dataflows, dependencies, and networking topologies. Collaborate with development teams on backlog prioritization , project intake, operational acceptance testing, and Game Day activities.
Technical & Professional Qualifications Experience with UNIX/Linux administration, scripting, and automation. Hands-on experience supporting cloud-native applications, preferably on Azure; AWS experience is an advantage. Understanding networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, UDP traffic, HTTP, and DNS.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based platforms. Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems using logical reasoning and data-driven analysis. Experience with observability tools; DataDog and BigPanda experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant industry experience; customer-facing operational support experience is a plus. Critical Thinking & AI-Enabled Engineering We value engineers who think critically, challenge assumptions, and make sound decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.
Experience using data-driven insights and AI-assisted tools to improve observability, automate operations, or accelerate incident diagnosis is highly valued. You do not need to be an AI specialist—curiosity, learning mindset, and practical application matter most.
