Job Title: TIGS Production Operations Lead Travel: Local Anticipated Posting End: 10/1/2026 The Opportunity Join our Integrated Product Support Team as a recognized technical leader responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations, improving production efficiency, and leading complex operational initiatives.
Serve as the subject matter expert for manufacturing planning, production execution, workforce utilization, and continuous process improvement. Lead cross-functional efforts to improve manufacturing performance while ensuring customer requirements, quality standards, cost objectives, and production schedules are consistently achieved.
Drive strategic manufacturing initiatives through data analysis, Lean methodologies, and operational excellence. Mentor and develop manufacturing personnel while fostering collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Production organizations.
Responsibilities Serve as the manufacturing subject matter expert for production planning, operational execution, and manufacturing process optimization. Lead large, complex manufacturing projects involving production planning, resource allocation, equipment utilization, and operational improvements.
Analyze production data, manufacturing trends, equipment performance, and workforce utilization to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize operational performance using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Coordinate manufacturing activities across Engineering, Procurement, Sales, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, vendors, and logistics partners. Evaluate manufacturing methods, production capacity, and equipment requirements; recommend capital investments and process improvements when appropriate.
Ensure manufacturing operations remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with customer, regulatory, safety, and internal quality requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance to manufacturing personnel, coaching junior team members while delegating work assignments as appropriate.
Resolve complex manufacturing issues requiring independent judgment, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. Develop manufacturing metrics, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership while recommending operational improvements.
Influence manufacturing policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices to improve organizational performance. Support strategic planning activities related to manufacturing capacity, workforce planning, and operational readiness.
Qualifications Required Must be a US Citizen Must have an active DOD TS to begin work Must be able to obtain a DOD TS/SCI security clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, production operations, operations management, industrial engineering, or related technical environments. Recognized technical expertise in manufacturing operations, production planning, or operational process improvement.
Demonnstrated experience leading large or complex operational or manufacturing projects from planning through execution. Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating work across multiple functional organizations. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, review, and delegate work to technical personnel.
Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating manufacturing performance, operational metrics, and production data. Experience identifying operational risks and implementing process improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting recommendations and operational status to leadership.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision while exercising sound technical judgment Desired Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced technical degree. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
