Job Title: Head of Enterprise Programmes Location: Australia (International organisation) Department / Business Unit: Global Functions – International Line Manager: International Finance Head About the role The Head of Enterprise Programmes is a senior leadership role accountable for the successful implementation and delivery of a portfolio of high-priority enterprise programmes over a 2-year period.

The role focuses on executing targeted initiatives in AI and technology transformation, accelerating strategic partnerships, driving disciplined SGA savings, and rapidly scaling simplification initiatives across International to help GSK become a truly front-line focused organisation.

Operating at enterprise level, this role will unlock the potential for reinvestment into topline opportunities through rigorous programme execution, cross-functional coordination, and tangible results in efficiency, capability building, and cost management.

The post holder translates strategy into disciplined execution, shaping new ways of working and embedding sustainable change across diverse markets and functions. What you’ll do Simplification & Transformation Delivery – Drive rapid uptake of simplification initiatives across International, ensuring fast adoption, effective implementation, and sustained benefits realisation.

Enterprise Programme Execution – Lead the end-to-end implementation of enterprise programmes, with particular focus on back-office AI adoption, digital tool deployment, and process automation initiatives. Strategic Partnerships – Drive the acceleration of strategic partnership programmes, ensuring timely execution, integration, and realisation of agreed deliverables with external partners.

Governance & PMO – Establish and oversee a strong programme governance framework (including PMO practices) to track progress, manage risks, dependencies, and budgets across all initiatives. SGA Savings & Efficiency – Work closely with functional teams to ensure they effectively deliver and sustain SGA savings programmes, including rigorous tracking of cost reduction targets and identification of further efficiency opportunities in selling, general, and administrative expenses.

Cross-functional Collaboration – Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to remove blockers, align resources, and ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact. Executive Reporting & Insight – Provide clear, regular reporting to the President and Executive Committee on programme status, milestone achievement, risks, and financial outcomes (particularly SGA savings).

Team Leadership – Build and lead a high-performing team of programme managers and delivery specialists to support effective execution of the enterprise programme portfolio. AI & Digital Adoption – Monitor implementation quality and adoption of AI/digital solutions in back-office functions to ensure sustained benefits realisation and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications & experience Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Business or a related discipline. 15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical leadership experience, operating effectively within complex, highly regulated environments and influencing enterprise-level decisions.

Significant General Manager experience (minimum 5 years) across markets and/or regional/cluster roles, providing end-to-end business ownership, P&L accountability, and the ability to drive enterprise-wide alignment. Demonstrated experience in enterprise transformation, including leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives (e.g. digital, AI, operating model change) and delivering sustained business outcomes.

Proven experience in business development and strategic alliances, enabling effective management of complex external partnerships and delivery of agreed enterprise value. This level of experience is required because the role must drive complex, cross-functional programmes at pace, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable business impact (SGA savings, transformation outcomes and operational simplification) across the International organisation.

Preferred Education: MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (e.g. Master’s degree in Business or Pharmaceutical Management). Multiple-market experience leading transformation, AI/digital programmes and simplification initiatives across culturally diverse markets.

Track record of delivering enterprise-wide efficiency programmes, with clear, sustained impact on cost, capability and ways of working. Knowledge, skills & competencies Deep enterprise pharmaceutical knowledge and advanced expertise in transformation, programme governance, and cross-functional operations.

Strong problem-solving ability to address complex, ambiguous issues with limited information, anticipating medium- and long-term impacts across functions and geographies. Proven ability to establish and run robust governance frameworks, manage interdependencies across programmes, and ensure disciplined execution and benefits realisation.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders, manage complex internal and external relationships, and represent GSK in strategic partnership discussions. Strong multi-cultural competence, with experience operating across multiple regions and diverse socio-economic and cultural contexts, adapting approaches to ensure alignment and impact.

High personal impact and resilience, with the ability to drive accountability, shape decision-making and sustain momentum on critical enterprise initiatives.
