Senior Manager, Global Workplace & Facilities Management Key leadership role responsible for establishing and delivering Rio Tinto's global workplace and facilities management strategy and operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-performing workplaces that support current and future business needs.

Based in Perth About the role We are seeking an experienced workplace, facilities management and property leader to lead Rio Tinto's Global Workplace & Facilities Management function.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across workplace operations, facilities management, corporate real estate, supplier partnerships and portfolio planning. You will lead a global team and ensure Rio Tinto's corporate workplaces deliver safe, productive and collaborative environments while supporting long-term business objectives.

Reporting to the General Manager – Global Indirects, you will: Lead the Global Workplace & Facilities Management team and ensure global and regional workplace activities align with business priorities and future workforce requirements. Develop and execute Rio Tinto's global workplace and corporate real estate strategy.

Enable the ongoing development of the Global Workplace team, including performance management, capability building and succession planning. Oversee the performance and effectiveness of Rio Tinto's global office portfolio, ensuring safe, productive and high-quality workplace experiences.

Lead long-term workplace and portfolio planning to support growth, consolidation and changing business requirements. Have direct oversight of strategic workplace and facilities management supplier relationships, ensuring strong safety, service, innovation and value outcomes.

Have direct oversight of capital projects across the corporate property portfolio including sustaining projects in existing locations and portfolio development / new locations. Lead the negotiation and management of high-value and complex workplace, facilities management and property-related contracts.

Maintain accountability for workplace operating expenditure, capital investment planning and financial performance. Build strong and productive relationships with Product Groups, Functions and regional business leaders to ensure workplace strategies align with business needs.

Drive consistency in workplace standards, governance, compliance and risk management across global locations. Champion safety, workplace experience and continuous improvement across all workplace and facilities management activities. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, workplace innovation, employee experience and future-of-work practices to improve workplace performance and value delivery.

About you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: Extensive experience leading workplace, facilities management, corporate real estate or property functions within a large global organisation. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing significant operating and capital budgets.

Proven success developing and executing workplace, facilities management or corporate real estate strategies. Demonstrated capability negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic supplier partnerships. Strong understanding of workplace operations, facilities management, corporate real estate, project delivery and portfolio management.

A proven track record of achieving successful outcomes through leadership, influence, collaboration and negotiation. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively engage with different leadership levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

Experience leading and developing geographically dispersed teams. Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Property, Facilities Management, Engineering or a related discipline. It is also beneficial if you have: Experience managing outsourced Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) models.

Experience working across multiple regions, cultures and time zones. Professional qualifications in Property, Facilities Management, Real Estate or Project Management.
