The Opportunity Abbott’s Diabetes Care business is seeding a Director, Business Human Resources to serve as the primary strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and the resulting HR solutions. What You'll Work On Serves as the strategic HR partner to the Business.
Leverages HR consulting skills to help their business clients achieve key business objectives and increase the effectiveness of their organization. Balances short term needs / tactics with long term strategies; calibrates needs of the functional area with the broader global business.
Aligns human resources initiatives and resources to deliver against business strategies and operational plans. In partnership with the divisional vice president and leadership team, develops and implements a talent plan that ensures the organization has the right talent to deliver on financial commitments, consistent team performance and a sustainable talent bench.
Brings thought leadership and experience to change management initiatives in the business. Responsible for the quality and responsiveness of the overall delivery of all HR services for the respective client group. Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from Area BHR, Practice Areas and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet and exceed business needs.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum 10 years of progressive HR business partner or related experience. Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and co-workers at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to identify and assess human capital needs and work collaboratively to develop and implement value-added solutions. Strong communication and organizational skills.
