Integration Specialist Technician Apprenticeship Company: The Boeing Company Boeing is excited to bring on aspiring technicians to join our Integration Specialist Technician Apprenticeship program in Huntsville, AL , designed to equip new teammates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

With more than 3,000 talented employees, we are one of the largest aerospace companies in Alabama and have played a vital role in U.S. defense, space and security programs for over 60 years. This includes developing integrated air and missile defense systems such as the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) seeker—an integral part of the world’s most advanced air defense system.

Employees are participants in a full-time company sponsored on-the-job training program. The Integration Specialist Technician program helps learners develop the skills needed to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assignments are structured to provide learning experiences that lead to a course completion within a skill area.

The Integration Specialist Technician cohort is a 4-week program. Upon completion, the candidate will have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work of an Integration Specialist Technician, to include: following detailed work instructions; identifying and utilizing all required hand tools, power tools, parts, and equipment; routing, bundling, and tying cables; assembling wire harnesses; mechanical and structural torquing; and performing mechanical and electronic assembly to accomplish defect-free work and ensure personal and product safety.

What is a Technical Apprenticeship? Boeing Technical Apprenticeship Program (BTAP), is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL). It is an earn and learn program including formal learning, on-the-job experiences, and mentorship.

Every graduate of a Registered Apprenticeship program will receive a nationally-recognized credential from the DOL. What makes a great Technical Apprentice? A degree is not required to apply for most technical apprenticeship programs. We select apprentices based on a range of core traits and skills, such as: Passion for continuously learning, improving, technology, and achieving more Curious mindset, problem solving, and ability to quickly apply back into your work Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new things and help others Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and collaboratively with accountability to a team Self-motivated, with initiative and persistence in achieving success Strong interpersonal skills and confident communication with stakeholders What is the experience?

As an apprentice, you'll join with other apprentices in a cohort and go through experiences together, learning Boeing, aerospace, and core Assembly fundamentals. Additionally, managers and mentors will support progress through the personal skills roadmap, learning and demonstrating new skills through hands-on application with project teams.

During the apprenticeship duration, you will initially complete a highly rigorous and accelerated learning program tailored to develop foundational skills across manufacturing and assembly.
