- We are looking for a Finance Director, Cloud Business Partnering, to join our Finance team supporting Infrastructure & Cloud and Cyber. In this role, we will rely on you to own and drive our Cloud cost base and associated programmes, representing approximately £300m of annual spend. Working closely with the Engineering CIO team, we will partner to establish the operating rhythm, see opportunities for optimisation and support the delivery of our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Finance, Infrastructure & Cloud and Cyber, this is a key leadership position within Engineering Finance. We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Cloud cost management and optimisation, gained within a finance, business management or COO function. Together, we will support Engineering CIOs in evaluating long-term risks and opportunities, assessing Cloud and On-Premise strategies
- helping shape decisions across cloud providers and technology investments Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Key business partner to Cloud CIO and several divisionally-aligned Engineering CIOs
- Challenges and makes recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of divisional initiatives
- Seeing opportunities for optimsiation, working closely with the Fin Ops team
- Understanding the dynamics of Run and Change, flexing the workforce management to accommodate temporary program requirements
- Delivering on Opex and Capex Targets
- Driving multi-year strategic cost direction between Cloud and On-Premise
- Sitting on the Cloud Board as the financial representative
- Work with external vendors and support commercials upon renewals Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification
- Extensive Finance experience with some of that tenure looking after a Cloud cost base
- Self-starter with a history of providing strategic thought leadership, partnering, and influencing senior partners
- Significant work experience in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organisation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build broad networks.
- Able to influence others and deliver outcomes and change through other people.
