Become a part of our caring community The Medicaid Capture Management team’s purpose is to successfully position Humana to enter new markets enabling the future of the business. As a centrally positioned strategic function this team coordinates with growth partners across the enterprise and industry to accelerate product strategy and define the operating model for new markets.

We deliver value through detailed research, data-driven insights, strategic planning, structured problem solving, and project management rigor. The Strategic Project Manager plays a central role in bringing structure, visibility, and momentum to Medicaid Capture Management and Growth Office priorities.

This role helps translate complex, cross-functional work into clear plans, aligned teams, actionable insights, and continuously improving ways of working that support timely decision-making and successful execution. The ideal candidate can tailor project management best practices to strategic growth work that is iterative, fast-evolving, and highly matrixed.

The Strategic Project Manager is expected to understand department, segment, and organizational strategy, connect project activities to broader business objectives, make independent decisions with minimal direction, follow established guidelines/procedures, and identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve consistency, and strengthen collaboration.

This role will also support additional team activities, including research, analysis, and synthesis of contracts and regulations. Key responsibilities include: Establish and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, trackers, and related tools that provide visibility into priorities, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision points Maintain and continuously improve governance structures, ways of working, templates, and project management tools to strengthen consistency, accountability, and execution effectiveness Develop materials for senior leadership updates and discussions, translating complex project activity into clear status summaries, key insights, and decision-support content Oversee the central project site and related documentation processes to ensure materials are organized, current, accessible, and aligned to team standards Identify and implement opportunities to simplify workflows and advance project management practices, including use of Copilot, Power Automate, and similar tools to improve speed, collaboration, and efficiency Provide research, analytical, synthesis, and documentation support that helps translate contracts, regulations, market insights, and partner input into actionable team deliverables Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications 5+ years of providing project management support for strategy and cross-functional projects, including at least one year working with a Medicaid managed care organization Proficiency in project tracking tools and software (e.g., Sharepoint, Lucid, Excel, Powerpoint, Co-Pilot) Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale, highly matrixed workstreams that require alignment across multiple business functions, leaders, and stakeholders Experience leveraging technology and automation solutions, including Microsoft Co-Pilot, Power Automate, and related tools to improve efficiency, collaboration, and decision support Experience developing executive-level communications, leadership presentations, status reports, and decision-support materials for senior leadership audiences Experience establishing and improving governance processes, ways of working, and project management tools that increase transparency, accountability, and execution effectiveness Proven ability to identify risks, dependencies, and strategic considerations while enabling informed decision-making and successful execution Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or related certification Management consulting, healthcare consulting, or strategic planning experience Additional Information Travel: Role will include travel (10-25% of time) Workstyle: Remote Core Work Days & Hours: Monday – Friday; Eastern Standard Time (EST) with flexible scheduling (i.e. occasional nights and weekends) Work at Home Requirements

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $86,300 - $118,700 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
