The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce.
The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock. Program Structure: The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients.
Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin. Data Implementation Specialist – Associate About This Role Aladdin Data – Solutions drives the evolution of Aladdin’s enterprise analytics data assets and production capabilities.
We implement data and analytics solutions for BlackRock and Aladdin clients, delivering scalable, high-quality outcomes that support investment decision-making, risk management, compliance, and reporting. Our Data Implementation team leads the onboarding of investment data across asset classes—fixed income, equities, derivatives, and private markets.
We partner directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, configure data workflows, and ensure successful adoption of Aladdin’s data and analytics platform. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the intersection of investment data, technology, and client delivery.
You’ll gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle while helping shape the future of how data powers the investment process. The Data Implementations business process is undergoing a multi-year transformation program to improve scale, user and client experience, process performance and client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will play an active role in this transformation work as a subject matter expert and agile squad team member. The ideal candidate will have experience in leveraging AI tools, including both LLM and Agentic, to streamline and automate financial business processes.
Absent explicit experience in using AI to automate business processes, formal training or certification in relevant AI tools is valuable. Key Responsibilities Support the onboarding of new clients to the Aladdin platform, with a focus on reference data and analytics configuration.
Serve as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and client business teams, translating business needs into data solutions and ensuring successful adoption of Aladdin’s data and analytics platform. Manage data workstreams, including scope definition, requirements gathering, and milestone tracking.
Source and reconcile data from external parties such as asset managers, custodians, and clients; guide them through interface design, testing, and production readiness. Leverage tools like Excel and Python to perform large-scale data reconciliations in support of data platform migrations and onboarding efforts.
Monitor and validate production data inputs and outputs across internal and external sources. Investigate and resolve complex data issues; perform ad hoc analysis on large datasets under tight deadlines. Educate clients on Aladdin data conventions and workflows; deliver training and documentation.
Collaborate with business analysts and developers to improve data quality, reduce risk, and scale processes. Contribute to innovation efforts by prototyping new solutions and refining best practices. What You’ll Gain Deep expertise in the Aladdin® end-to-end investment platform.

Qualifications & Skillsets We’re looking for fast learners and independent thinkers who bring fresh perspectives and a passion for solving complex problems with data and technology. Bachelor’s degree required, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in investment or data technology roles Strong understanding of investment data and analytics, with working knowledge of fixed income concepts (e.g., duration, convexity, tracking error, scenario analysis) and instruments (e.g., bonds, futures, swaps, securitized products, FX); experience with private markets is a plus Familiarity with market/external data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters/LSEG, IDC, Markit, IBOXX, FTSE/Russell etc) Experience sourcing data from managers, custodians, and clients, and guiding them through interface design, testing, and onboarding is a plus Understanding of reference data workflows and conventions; ability to apply them in client onboarding and production environments is a plus Proficient in Excel; experience using UNIX, PERL/Python and SQL for large-scale data reconciliation and analysis is a plus Proven ability to manage complex data projects and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to engage effectively with clients and senior stakeholders Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership Exposure to Agile and project management practices; experience using collaboration and planning tools such as Smartsheet, MIRO and Aha! is a plus Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, and data platforms like Snowflake, is a plus A “student of the markets” mindset—intellectually curious with a passion for learning about global financial markets and the investment management business Where will I be based?

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$132,000.00 .
Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
