- EC2 Managed AWS Geographic Expansion is the team responsible for building one of Earth's largest distributed systems - AWS - at scale. We own the software and tooling to automate building the foundation of the cloud in new Regions and Availability zones. As a manager on this team, you will lead a group of engineers who build and maintain these tools. You will help your team decide what to work on, remove obstacles

- resource planning. A day in the life Your day might start with a standup where you hear updates from your team on their current work. You might spend time reviewing a design document for a new feature, giving feedback on the approach. You could have a one-on-one with an engineer to discuss their career goals and help them identify projects that would help them grow. You could spend time looking at metrics to understand how our tools are being used and where engineers are running into problems.
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of engineering experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - 3+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer
- related occupational experience - 1+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience - 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#
- C++ experience - 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture experience - 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics
