Training and Development Dir, Obesity and Related Conditions What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this vital role the Training and Development Dir position will focus on creating, developing, and executing Obesity and Related Conditions Sales Training, Product Launch Support, and Strategies for the Commercial Operations organization.

The Director will partner closely with Amgen’s Learning and Performance team and Obesity and Related Conditions Business at Amgen. In addition, the ability to work with and across senior leadership teams in a complex matrixed environment will be critical.

This role will be central to orchestrating the critical components required for a successful launch, from defining hiring profiles and developing manager interview guides to building launch readiness tools, workshops, and field execution resources.

The Director will lead a team responsible for designing and facilitating high-impact training while staying closely connected to field realities through sales calls, remote coaching, ongoing field engagement, and stakeholder partnerships. This leader will own the end-to-end training and launch readiness ecosystem, ensuring our teams are prepared, confident, and equipped to execute with excellence at launch and beyond.

Scope & Key Accountabilities: Partner with business leaders to develop and implement Obesity and Related Conditions Training initiatives and programs, aligned with enterprise and functional strategies Plan and lead large scale initiatives by partnering and collaborating with US and Global leadership.

Contribute to organizational leadership and strategic decisions Establish and grow relationships with external leadership entities and customer groups (e.g. business units, training, sales) Partner with cross-functional leadership and other stakeholders to develop and execute strategies for attracting diverse talent into the organization (e.g.

Talent acquisition, university relations, commercial development and leadership programs Work with internal and external associations to establish / strengthen relationships on a national and regional level Partner closely with Amgen HR, Obesity and Related Conditions and other Business Units to find opportunities to integrate and / or create new programs as needed to support the business specific needs including: Establishing and shaping training and education programs Leading internal panel discussions and teams What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of business experience OR Master’s degree and 8 years of business experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of business experience And 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources Preferred Qualifications: Ability to engage and network with internal and external partners in relevant communities Ability to lead and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders towards achieving business goals Ability to develop complex and innovative solutions to business problems without precedent Experience of working with cross-functional global teams and building relationships at all levels of the organization.
