As a Software Engineering Senior Manager, you will lead the technology platform that supports critical pharmacy fulfillment operations for Home Delivery, Accredo, and Express Scripts Specialty Distribution Services.

Responsibilities Lead the strategy, stability, security, and performance of the Safire application platform and related pharmacy technology solutions.
Drive operational excellence by improving platform resiliency, scalability, availability, and supportability. Partner with Product Owners, engineers, and automation teams to prioritize work, improve service delivery, and accelerate modernization efforts.
Evaluate and champion innovative technologies, including cloud and AI-enabled solutions, to enhance business outcomes and operational efficiency. Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, aligning technology solutions with enterprise standards and strategic goals.
Lead production incident response, root cause analysis, and prevention strategies that reduce risk and improve customer experiences. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 8–15 professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and career growth.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators that measure platform health, service quality, and operational effectiveness. Drive process improvement initiatives, change management practices, and production governance activities that strengthen delivery outcomes.
Create an environment where teams are empowered to solve problems, innovate, and continuously improve. Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, application support, production systems, or related technology roles.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading technical, engineering, or application support teams. Experience supporting complex enterprise applications in a production environment. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or OpenShift. Experience with Microsoft C#.NET, C++, Angular, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Demonstrated success diagnosing, resolving, and preventing complex production issues. Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and operational problem solving. Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in fast-paced, high-impact situations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience with AI technologies and automation solutions. Experience supporting manufacturing, fulfillment, or pharmacy-related systems.
Experience with release management, change management, and production governance. Growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and team development. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 138,100 - 230,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
