Role Summary & Role Description This role is part of the GCS (Global Cyber Security) Access Management operations team, responsible for the stability, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms.

The role will work closely with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams to support onboarding, integration, and ongoing operations of identity and access management solutions including SSO, MFA, and federation technologies. Responsibilities include: Support and manage day-to-day operations of enterprise SSO and authentication platforms Onboard applications to enterprise SSO using SAML, OIDC, WS-Federation, and APIs Troubleshoot and resolve authentication, federation, and access-related issues across applications and platforms Act as an escalation point for platform incidents and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution Execute changes in line with established change and release management processes Support monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure platform availability and reliability Collaborate with application teams to implement secure authentication integrations Identify and drive automation of repetitive operational tasks Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, system stability, and service reliability Support testing, validation, and rollout of product upgrades in coordination with engineering teams Contribute to identification and prioritization of technical debt, performance improvements, and operational readiness Support platform stability during major upgrades, migrations, and incident remediation activities Operational Expectations Provide L2 / L3 production support for access management platforms Manage incidents, problems, and changes in line with ITIL best practices Utilize monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk) for proactive issue detection and analysis Manage and track tickets through ServiceNow or equivalent platforms Follow and enhance operational runbooks, SOPs, and escalation procedures Core/Must have skills 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with a focus on Access Management and SSO platforms Strong expertise in SSO technologies such as Entra ID, ForgeRock or equivalent Solid understanding of authentication protocols including SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and WS-Federation Experience supporting large-scale IAM environments in production Hands-on experience integrating applications with SSO and MFA solutions Strong troubleshooting skills for authentication and federation-related issues Experience working with directory services such as Active Directory and other LDAP systems Familiarity with modern authentication methods Experience with unix, scripting and automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.) Strong understanding of security principles, IAM controls, and secure configuration practices Ability to collaborate across global teams and manage stakeholder expectations Good to have skills Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace Familiarity with ticketing and workflow tools such as ServiceNow Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern application architectures Exposure to containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker Understanding of FIDO / passwordless authentication approaches Strong analytical and communication skills Work Schedule Hybrid work model with shift-based coverage aligned to India time (Bangalore / Hyderabad) Keywords (If any) Access Management, Authentication Services, SSO, MFA, Entra ID, ForgeRock, OAuth, OIDC Why this role is important to us Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients.
