Domain Architect - Cloud , Senior Specialist

Core Responsibilities 1. T his is a senior technician who will provide architecture and engineering guidance across Vanguard's AI-ready data program 2. Implements the cloud technology, application, and platform strategy and performance management, through collaboration and alignment across partner teams, such as finance, risk, marketing, and operations, as well as across divisional Cloud leads. 3.

Provides expertise on the divisional operating procedures and standards where cloud applications will be utilized, as well as contingency planning in partnership with business leaders and the risk organization. 4. Drives the definition development and testing of cloud technology and application's current state utilization to meet divisional requirements and goals. 5.

Leads the cloud integration architectural process, by implementing application and platform standards, guidelines, best practices, and governance. Leads implementation activity to ensure architecture and design principles are upheld. 6. Communicates with end-users and IT senior developers to ensure the cloud model and applications are consistent with the architecture standards. 7.

Creates clarity and certainty when there is Architecture ambiguity; communicate to Senior leader stakeholders within the Organization. 8. Influences senior leaders on the strategic direction of cloud, and data center transformation programs. 9.

Researches Emerging Technologies, develops proof-of-concept prototypes and implementation models. 10. Ensures implementation solutions support architecture objectives (availability, scalability, performance, security, etc.), as appropriate. 11.

Communicates highly complex technical concepts effectively to a broad group of stakeholders, and establishes relationships with IT leaders, architects, and technical specialists to advance proposed architectural solutions. 12. Reports on the competitive landscape and corporate and business unit strategies to provide context for architectural decision making. 13.

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of ten years related work experience, with at least five years of technology architect experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
