System Operations Engineer

In This Role, You Will

• Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases
• other technical products and services Identify opportunity for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases
• perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverables Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries Exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards Work as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes Provide information related to supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience
• equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Production / Application support teams (including troubleshooting application issues / installations / deployments / configurations) Change/problem/incident management experience For Windows environments – experience in IIS, SQL Server Administration, Windows administration, Windows PowerShell scripting For Linux environments - experience in Unix Scripting Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys Experience with app or web servers such as Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBOSS (and/or combination of these) Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL (and/or combination of these) DevOps tools/experience - Github, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible Experience with SRE, Application, System and Database monitoring tools such as ITRS, AppDynamics, Splunk, Netcool, Elk and Basemon SSL Certificate management experience Knowledge of ticket tracking tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Experience with Agile / Kanban methodologies Job Expectations: 2+ years of experience in Windows or Linux Administration ITRS - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) AppDynamics – (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) SPLUNK - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) Grafana - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) Service Now Autosys/Control-M - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) AiOps - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup) Netcool uDeploy GitHub JIRA/Confluence Posting End Date: 2 Aug 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
