Title and Summary Director, Accounting Role & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
- Lead and oversee the record to report function including expense accruals and reclasses, fixed assets accounting, prepaid accounting for GBS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and global standards.
- Develop and execute strategies for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Partner with global stakeholders, including Corporate Controllership, Treasury, and Legal, to align on priorities and drive initiatives. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP, and applicable standards.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place to maintain compliance with corporate policies and external regulations. Team Management & Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Drive a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and accountability. Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and address risks in financial reporting and operations, implementing mitigation plans as needed.
- Evaluate and implement advanced tools and technologies to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing support across the undertaken functions.
- Collaborate with other GBS leaders to harmonize processes and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing insights into accounting operations and performance metrics. All About You:
- Minimum of [12] years of experience in a senior leadership role within global business services, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in global accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
