Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.

In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. The Director, Global FP&A plays a critical leadership role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of DePuy Synthes’.

This role partners closely with executive leaders and functional leaders to drive financial planning, forecasting, and decision support across a complex, global business. The position offers high visibility, broad impact, and the opportunity to influence strategic investments and long term growth as DePuy Synthes evolves into a standalone organization.

Key Responsibilities Lead international financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long range planning processes across regions and markets. Provide strategic financial insight and decision support to executive and senior leadership teams.

Analyze financial performance, key drivers, and risks; translate insights into clear recommendations and actions. Oversee monthly and quarterly performance reviews, including variance analysis and executive level reporting. Partner with commercial, supply chain, and operations leaders to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.

Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Lead, develop, and coach a team of finance professionals in a matrixed, international environment. Ensure alignment with corporate financial policies, controls, and governance requirements.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required) MBA or other advanced degree (preferred) Experience and Skills

Required

  • 10–12 years of progressive finance experience, with deep FP&A and financial management expertise Experience supporting complex, global businesses Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a matrixed environment Executive-level partnership skills with the ability to influence strategic decisions Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capability Clear, compelling communicator who turns complex financial data into actionable insights Uncompromising integrity, compliance mindset, and values-based leadership Digital fluency
