Job Description
Summary: The Assistant Product Manager will support the Product Manager in executing marketing strategies for lubricants, degreasers, and specialty MRO chemicals. This role will assist in product lifecycle management, market research, and cross-functional coordination to help drive category growth.
Based at our Tucker, GA facility, this position offers exposure to strategic product marketing while contributing to day-to-day execution and analysis. Essential Duties: Assist in the development and execution of product strategies and roadmaps by gathering and analyzing Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights.
Support stage gate project activities, including timeline tracking, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. Conduct competitive product research and maintain analysis tools to identify market opportunities and gaps. Help capture and communicate market and end-user insights to inform marketing plans and product positioning.
Contribute to the creation of customer value propositions and sales enablement materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales, R&D, Operations, and Marketing Communications—throughout the product lifecycle. Assist in pricing analysis and support execution of pricing strategies.
Coordinate with the Marketing Communications team to develop and update marketing collateral such as brochures, product descriptions, technical data sheets, and web content. Complete customer data requests, including templates for product introductions, discontinuations, data enrichment, and content updates for vendor portals.
Provide sales support through sample and giveaway fulfillment, tablecloth distribution, and event preparation. Support customer-facing activities including meetings, trainings, and trade shows by assisting with planning, logistics, material preparation, and lead management in Salesforce
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, or a related field. 0 to 2 years of prior experience in product marketing, brand management, marketing, or related roles is preferred.
- Desire to function as a business owner and a passion for product management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop insights.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 25–35% as needed.
